MY take
Metallic Immunity
I have a radioactive soul, That can see through the disguise blocking out the shadows, gushing my veins with cyanide. Despite everything that you do
To get me damaged, scarred and pained. I can blow it off, I have cyanide in my veins.
Even if you pump me out with gasoline, and set fire to my world. It won’t hurt me. I have a radioactive soul.
I can take every bullet right on, You can’t dare shred me apart. Let me tell you a secret,
I have an immunised heart. The cyanide keeps me running, to keep up with the artificial smile
It acts like a strong morphine, against this counterfeit paradise. I cross my fingers at the shooting star, as the stars fall with dignity.
No granted wishes are invalid. Stick it to the situation’s gravity.
Endangered are the stars that do not fall and the archangels riding are in jeopardy.
But being radioactive has its benefits, you can have the liberty to disagree.
I have dreams bigger than my hometown, I would chase them to the list. For nothing short I’d settle down. Still at the crossroads to my bliss. I have played out all my cards, And there's nothing left to pretend.I have got nothing more to lose, I am metallic from end to end.
Students ushered in the season of revelry with a painting contest. A few spent time with underprivileged kids and motivated them. Some dressed up as Bapu to celebrate his birth anniversary. Smita Kumar reports
