Bettiah, July 5: Conducting a raid on a house at Pipra village under Muffassil police station in small hours today, a team of Special Task Force (STF) recovered fake currency notes worth Rs 2.9 lakh. A woman has been arrested.

Confirming the big haul of fake currency notes, the West Champaran superintendent of police (SP), Nishant Tewari told The Telegraph: “It was the third successful operation of the STF against the fake currency note racketeers in a year. ”

The SP said the woman arrested from the house where the fake currency notes were stacked had been identified as Bhagwanti Devi.
