Gaya, June 13: The students of Magadh University are in a fix. Some of them are yet to take the exams. A few who have, are waiting for their results.

The reason behind this delay is the absence of a vice-chancellor or a person in charge of the post.

The vice-chancellor is the chairman of the senate, the syndicate, the examination board, the affiliation committee and different other bodies of the university. In his absence, decisions on examinations, evaluation of answer scripts or publication of results are getting delayed.

Sources said the Part I and Part II examinations in vocational degree courses, including bachelor in computer application, bachelor in business management, biotechnology, biochemistry, information technology, travel and tourism management, were delayed big time. They would be conducted from June 17.

Although the Part III examinations in vocational courses concluded recently, the worried students fear delay in the examination would prevent them from taking admission in postgraduate courses.

A Part III student, Manish Kumar, told The Telegraph: “Everywhere academic sessions start in the first week of July. Now, as our examinations concluded recently, the publication of results will be delayed. The results should have been published by June 15.”
