Raj Kumar Shah, a 56-year-old resident of Laxmipur jungle village of the Jamui constituency, said ahead of the polls: “Is jungle mein sher ka dahar main bachpan se sunta hoon. Narendra Modi bolta hai to lagta hai ki mere jungle ka sher bol raha hai (I have been hearing the lion’s roar in this jungle since childhood. When Narendra Modi speaks, it sounds like the roar of my jungle lion)”
