Patna, March 23: Sushil Kumar Modi has sought a CBI probe into the drug scam of Rs 100 crore.
During Zero Hour on Monday, Sushil sought a full-fledged debate into the scam through an "adjournment motion" by the BJP's Lalbabu Prasad.
Legislative Council chairman Awadhesh Narayan Singh, who rejected the adjournment motion when the House assembled in the pre-lunch session, adjourned the House till lunch after some BJP members trooped into the Well during Zero Hour and raised slogans to demand a CBI probe into the drug scam.
Later, talking to reporters, Modi said the authorities concerned have not lodged FIRs against any accused, be it then managing director of Bihar Medical Services and Infrastructure Corporation Ltd, Praveen Kishore, or then joint secretary, health, Sanjay Kumar. Neither has a disproportionate assets case been constituted against the nine accused.
The government constituted four committees to look into the drug scam but, so far, it has not made public the reports of two committees.
