Cricket to fight HIV

Bihar State AIDS Control Society (BSACS) and Bhoomika Vihar organised a daylong Yuva Premier Cricket League at Patna College on Thursday.

Bihar State AIDS Control Society (BSACS) and Bhoomika Vihar organised a daylong Yuva Premier Cricket League at Patna College on Thursday.

Four teams, BSACS, National Service Scheme, Nehru Yuva Kendra and National Coalition of People Living with HIV in India (NCPI+), took part. National Service Scheme won the league defeating NCPI+ by seven wickets.

BSACS deputy director N.K. Gupta said the organisation aims to spread HIV/AIDS awareness among students through the league. BSACS project director P.K. Jha inaugurated the league. Patna College principal S.M. Ashok was also present at the event.
