Patna, March 15: The high court today directed the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) not to publish the results of the 53rd to 55th combined competitive mains examination to fill up 100 posts under the Bihar Accounts Service (BAS).
The bench of Justice Mihir Kumar Jha passed the order on a petition filed by Binod Kumar Tiwari seeking the quashing of notification for filling up 100 BAS posts on the ground that the commission cannot fill up these posts without issuing any advertisement in this regard.
Both the BPSC and the state government were supposed to file their respective counter affidavits by Friday.
The state government could not file its reply on Friday, while the commission, which filed its reply, sought some more time and hence, the matter was adjourned till April 2. The examinations were conducted on the basis of an advertisement issued by the BPSC on January 13, 2011, for 14 services, excluding BAS.
