Patna, Sept. 9: Orthopaedic Research and Education Foundation (OREF) India will organise a three-day Continuing Orthopaedic Education (COE) course in the state capital from September 16. The course aims to share an ever-increasing knowledge about orthopaedics among the practitioners.

A senior member of the organising committee said the objective of OREF and COE is to improve the quality of management of orthopaedic illness and give a better quality of life to patients with musculo-skeletal illness.

The focus of this year’s course would be on knee and ankle and the theme would include a variety of topics ranging from fractures, sports injuries and joint replacement.

The course will be organised under the leadership of John Mukhopadhyaya, who is also the chairman of OREF. “After attending the conference, the doctors will be confident in handling the patients in a better scientific way,” Dr Mukhopadhyaya said.

Dr Ashok Kumar Sinha, organising secretary of the course, said: “The course will include lectures, case discussion on the first two days and hands-on workshop on the final day.” Around 800 delegates from are expected to participate in this course.
