Cops crack murder cases, 10 in net

Police claimed to have cracked three murder cases at three different places in Bhojpur and said they had busted a gang of arms smugglers with the arrest of least 10 criminals.

Ara: Police claimed to have cracked three murder cases at three different places in Bhojpur and said they had busted a gang of arms smugglers with the arrest of least 10 criminals.

The cops seized 11 pistols of 7.65mm calibre, two half-made pistols of 7.65mm calibre, four country-made pistols, one double-barrelled gun, 10 magazines, 349 live cartridges of 7.65mm calibre, 5 live cartridges of .315mm calibre, two motorcycles and Rs 15,000.

The arrested were identified as Ajay Kumar alias Raja, son of Lalit Kumar Singh of Anaith under Nawada police, Avinash Kr Pandey, son of Bharat Pandey of Paharpur under Bihia police, Deepak Kushwaha alias KD Kushwaha, son of Hare Ram Kushwaha of Anaith under Nawada police station, Chandan Kumar, son of Manoj Singh of Jitwahadih under Navanagar police station in Buxar, Ravi Ranjan Kumar Pandey, son of Umashankar Pandey of Vishambharpur under Imadpur police station, Anu Devi, wife of Raj Kumar Singh alias Raj Kapoor of Kamariay under Azimabad police station, Guddu Mahato, son of Ram Ishwar Mahato of Sahangi under Gadhani police station, Ram Ishwar Mahato, son of Kishun Mahato of Sahangi under Gadhani police, Kanchan Devi, wife of Guddu Mahato of Sahangi under Gadhani police station and Sujit Giri, son of late Raj Nath Giri of Asudhan Mathia under Ayar police station in Bhojpur.
