A constable posted in Jehanabad was arrested on Sunday for allegedly threatening to blow up the Taj Mahal and carrying out attacks on important cities across the country ahead of Independence Day.
Sah Ujair Ahmed was arrested from Sigori village under Paliganj block in Patna rural after he sent an SMS to Rajasthan director-general of police (DGP) Manoj Bhatt and some other top officers of other states threatening of bomb blasts to take revenge for the execution of Yakub Memon and Ajmal Kasab.
Patna senior superintendent of police (SSP) Vikas Vaibhav said Sah was posted in the accounts cell of Jehanabad district police office. "He had sent an SMS to the Rajasthan DGP on Independence Day eve, threatening him with blast and blood bath at Jaipur. We swung into action after ascertaining the identity of the sender," he added.
