| Students of Patna Women’s College display their work after the mask-making and face-and-hand painting competitions at the institution on Monday. The eco task force of the college organised the two competitions on the campus to impress upon the students the beauty of wildlife and the need to preserve it. Not to be left behind in doing their bit, the students of zoology and commerce departments made full use of colours and their imagination in the two competitions. Twenty girls from the zoology and commerce departments took part in the mask-making competition. After being judged on their deer, lions, tigers and giraffes, Kashish Raj (BCom first-year) and Vandana (zoology first-year) were adjudged the joint winners among the lot. Two teams — zoology third-year students Anjali Kumari and Kripa; Sweta Singh and Beauty Kumari — were named the joint winners in the face-and-hand painting competition. Twelve girls, comprising two individuals and five teams, had tried their hands in the contest and painted themselves as snake, peacock and zebra. Text by Smita Kumar, picture by Ashok Sinha |
