A resident of Gaya on Sunday lodged a complaint with the Kankerbagh police station in the state capital after his 20-year-old son went missing.

In the FIR, Shiv Kumar Singh said his son, Angesh Kumar, was missing since Friday.

Singh added that Angesh was pursuing BCom at a college in Gaya and had come to the state capital to prepare for competitive examinations.

Angesh was living with his uncle in the latter’s house in the Kankerbagh area. Sources said Angesh left the house on the night of March 16 without informing his uncle and other members in the family.

Shiv Kumar Singh, the station house officer in Nasriganj, Rohtas, has been asked to report to Police Lines with immediate effect. Rohtas superintendent of police Manu Maharaj issued the marching orders to Singh for failing to arrest the criminals involved in the murder of CPI-ML (Liberation) district secretary Bhaiya Ram Yadav on March 14.
