| Vijaysheel Gautam, head, trauma and emergency department, AIIMS-Patna, JK Singh, director, Mahavir Cancer Sansthan, and GK Singh, director, AIIMS, at the inauguration of a clinic dedicated to the breast diseases in Patna on Thursday. The AIIMS-Patna director emphasised on the need for screening to detect breast diseases. He said screening would help to prevent breast cancer. “The earlier cancer is detected, the better the cure,” he said. Singh added: “We have also arranged test screening for the next month at AIIMS-Patna. Various programmes would be held to raise awareness on breast cancer.” Mahavir Cancer Sansthan director Singh said a large number of breast cancer cases come to the heathcare institution. “The problem is that women don’t go for screening.
