BJP leader Modi announced that the central government would file a revision petition in the Supreme Court next week on the court's recent order on the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act. He also maintained that the BJP stood against the idea of introducing creamy layer concept in the reservation given to the SC/ST. He was speaking at the function on the eve of the birth anniversary of Baba Chouhar Mal, who is part of the folklore and revered among the Dalit community as a hero. Senior BJP leaders, including state unit president Nityanand Rai, Union minister Ram Kripal Yadav, state road construction minister Nand Kishore Yadav and health minister Mangal Pandey, were also present.
