Patna, Jan. 12: Goodbye to gutkha stains. All tourist spots in the state would soon be spic and span.
The state tourism department would outsource the job of cleanliness of tourist spots and related premises.
Bihar State Tourism Development Corporation (BSTDC) has been made the implementing agency for the job.
“The corporation is likely to float tenders for outsourcing an agency to undertake the job by January 13. The selected agencies would be awarded the respective tenders by February 14,” said a senior BSTDC official.
Cleanliness at major tourist spots in the state, including Mahabodhi Mahavihara in Bodhgaya, Vishwa Shanti Stupa at Vaishali and Rajgir, ancient Nalanda University ruins, among others would be covered under the scheme.
