Motihari, May 20 (PTI): Around 450kg of charas was seized from a truck today near Raxaul on India-Nepal border in East Champaran district.
The contraband was being smuggled from Beerganj, Nepal, police sources said.
Acting on a tip-off, officers of directorate of revenue intelligence (DRI) intercepted a truck near the border and found the charas conc-ealed with other consignments.
The value of the seized narcotics is estimated to be around Rs 1.35 crore in the international market. Two persons from Nalanda and one from Kanouj in Uttar Pradesh were arrested in this connection, sources said.
