Former jail minister and Congress leader Ashok Chaudhary’s wife Neeta Keskar Chaudhary is among the six persons who are likely to be interrogated by the CBI in connection with a forgery case.
Neeta and two others — Rajesh Kumar and Sunil Kumar Jaiswal — all associated with a private firm, M/s Vaishali Trading Private Limited, have been accused of furnishing forged documents to get loan of around Rs 3 crore from the Punjab National Bank.
Neeta was the director of the firm, which in alleged collusion with the then branch manager, D.P. Sinha, and the then field officer, Atul Kumar, got a term loan of Rs 1.6 crore and working capital loan of Rs 1.4 crore sanctioned in 2007 for setting up a chemicals and cosmetics unit.
CBI DIG V.K. Singh said the agency would submit the chargesheet soon. “It will also interrogate the accused.”
