If Housefull was total madness, HOUSeFULL 2-The Dirty Dozen promises to be even more bizarre. Advance ticket bookings in Patna suggest cinegoers are expecting another laughter riot from director Sajid Khan. The film hits theatres on Friday.
The sequel to the 2010 blockbuster received a good response on the first day of its advance ticket booking on Tuesday. Film lovers poured in at the theatres for tickets of the film that promises wholesome entertainment.
As many as 18 shows of the film would be screened in three theatres in Patna.
To make the hearty comedy also lighter on the pocket, Regent has slashed the ticket rates. The club ticket, which was earlier available for Rs 150, will now cost Rs 130. Similarly, rates have been cut down for the dress circle from Rs 120 to Rs 100 and tickets for the rear stall will now cost Rs 60 instead of Rs 80.
Asked about the reason behind revising the rates, Regent owner Suman Kumar Sinha said: “The theatre is for all and we care for our visitors. A theatre should not be restricted to the upper class. Everyone should be able to enjoy the film.”
He added: “We have a lot of expectation from the film. After a long time Bollywood has come up with an action-comedy. Housefull 2 is expected to pull more crowds as it has 12 unique characters. It would be more fun.”
Cinegoers, on the other hand, are counting days to April 6. The item song, Anarkali disco chali, performed by Malaika Arora Khan has certainly raised audience’s interest.
“I just want to see Munni dance on the big screen again. After Munni, Anarkali is certainly a class act,” said Rupak Kumar, a resident of Boring Canal Road.
