Man shot at

Patna: A middle-aged person with criminal antecedents, identified as Mahesh, was shot at near Neem ka Bhati area under Alamganj police station. He was rushed to a private hospital.

Patna: Social worker Dheeraj Krantikari on Friday filed a complaint petition in the chief judicial magistrate's court against Kanhaiya Kumar in connection with use of un-parliamentary words against the army on the eve of International Women;s Day. Hearing is on Monday.

Couple dead

Gopalganj: Babita Devi, a resident of Ratanchak village, set herself on fire on Thursday evening over a disagreement with her husband Lal Babu Manjhi on attending a wedding. Manjhi suffered burn injuries while trying to save her. Both died at the hospital.

Bettiah: Bhikhu Yadav, a village watchman, was robbed of Rs 80,000 and shot at on Friday while he was on his way back after withdrawing the cash from a Ramnagar bank.

Family feud

Muzaffarpur: Mukesh Kumar Mehta, a 40-year-old, was shot dead near his house at Purnea Bazaar area under Town police station on Friday evening. Police suspect a family feud was reason behind the attack.

PMCH protest

Patna: Junior doctors of Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH) on Friday postponed their plan of going on strike after the arrest of a Patna College student who was involved in beating up the doctors.
