Patna: The division bench of acting Chief Justice Iqbal Ahmed Ansari and Justice Chakradhari Sharan Singh on Monday directed the government to file its reply for loss of revenue worth Rs 341 crore to the excise department in issuance of tenders for opening country-made liquor shops.

Patna: Former IAS officer M.K. Srivastava has been appointed director-cum-executive officer of Centre for Good Governance with effect from August 1. Srivastava, a 1980-batch officer, retired from the post of departmental proceedings commissioner under the general administration department.

SC/ST quota order

Patna, Aug. 3: A division bench of Patna High Court of acting Chief Justice Iqbal Ahmed Ansari and Justice Chahkradhari Sharan Singh today reserved its order in a case of providing reservation to SC/ST in the appointment additional public prosecutors in the state.

The Bihar State SC/ST Advocates' Union had filed the petition.
