Gun unit busted

Munger, Sept. 6: Police have unearthed an illegal gun factory near Peru Mandal hamlet under Bariarpur police station today.

Three persons — Hasim, Bahao and Mangali have been arrested. Explosives used for making guns were found 

Dengue

Patna: Sixty-one dengue patients have been found in the state so far. According to the civil surgeon’s office, highest number of dengue cases have been found in Patna.

Cop assault

Muzaffarpur: Villagers involved in the making of illicit liquor attacked the police on Saturday evening near Kataunjha on NH-77. Police have lodged an FIR against some for assaulting the station house officer of Aurai police station, Jangu Ram. 

Protest

Patna: More than two-dozen trains were affected on Sunday after Jan Adhikar Party supporters halted them to protest against violence meted out to the people of Bihar in Manipur. 

Surgery

Patna: Shivam Hospital on Saturday conducted 21 planned Caesarean sections on the occasion of Janmashtami. 

Arrest

Arwal: Three Maoists, including an area commander Rajnish Sharma, was arrested from Dhokhahara turning on Sunday. Police seized a country-made gun, a rifle and six live cartridges from their possession.

Man nabbed

 Patna: A 64-year-old man was arrested in Madhepura district on Sunday for allegedly outraging the modesty of a minor girl at Bharrahi village. The accused — Janardan Yadav — was produced before the chief judicial magistrate and sent in judicial custody.
