Plea on age to retire

Patna: The health department has sent a proposal to the state government for increasing the retirement age of doctors working in the government hospitals.

The department has proposed to increase the retirement age from 65 to 67 years.

Alumni meet

Patna: The two-day Mega Alumni Meet of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Kankerbagh, concluded on Sunday. The first day was dedicated to present and retired teachers, while Sunday saw interactive session on career and learning.

Seizure

Motihari: Six persons were arrested and around 200 cellphones worth Rs 28 lakh were seized during a raid at Bijbani in East Champaran district late on Saturday night. The seized phones were stolen from Dhanbad and Chaibasa in Jharkhand last week.

Patna: Students' Oxygen Movement held a discussion on changing atmosphere of 2014 in which schoolchildren took part on Sunday. All participants described 2014 as a challenging year which gave birth to both disappointment and hope.

Raid

 Patna: Ten vehicles and liquor manufacturing material were seized during a raid on an illegal liquor manufacturing unit at Hander village in Gaurichak on Sunday. The raiding police team was attacked by an unruly mob.

Education

Patna: Principal secretary, health, Brajesh Mehrotra held a meeting with the principals of state-run colleges on Saturday in which he discussed about the deficiencies pointed out by Medical Council of India's team.
