Life term for murder
Motihari: A local court on Wednesday awarded life imprisonment to Raju Mian and Mohammad Israel for the murder of three members of a family and sexually exploiting a girl. The court also imposed a fine of Rs 75,000 on each convicts.
Mohammad Shamim and his associates killed Rajiv Singh, his wife Khushboo and son Amandeep at their Motihari residence in 2012, and Shamim later assaulted Rajiv's daughter and engaged her in fresh trade.

Patna: Mohammed Danish Iqbal suffered gunshot injuries to his thigh after a brawl over land dispute at Patliputra Colony on Wednesday.
Probe status
Patna: Additional director, CBI, Rakesh Ashthana on Wednesday held a meeting with officials of the Patna branch to review pending cases. He directed the investigating officials to accelerate the pace of probe and file chargesheets within the stipulated period.
