Two die in land dispute
Patna: Two persons died and seven others were injured in Pipra Narayan village in Siwan district, around 150km northwest of Patna, on Tuesday following a clash between two groups. Police suspect the clash was due to a land dispute.
The injured, most of them women, have been admitted to the Siwan sadar hospital where the condition of two was stated to be critical.
Forgery
Patna: A Bangladeshi national identified as Ahmad-E-Falad was taken into custody from the Patna regional passport office for allegedly trying to get a passport issued on the basis of forged documents. Falad told police that a woman from Madhubani district had helped him get an Aadhar card issued, which he had submitted to the passport office.
BSEB answers
Patna: The Bihar School Examination Board has decided to revise the answer keys of some subjects in the Intermediate examination after it was discovered that some answers were incorrect. The board has revised the answer keys and sent them to evaluation centres.
Bridge gift
Patna: BJP leader Mangal Pandey on Tuesday said that deputy chief minister Tejashwi Prasad Yadav's announcement about gifting two bridges to the state on June 11, the birthday of RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, was an insult to chief minister Nitish Kumar as Lalu is associated with the fodder scam. Pandey added that the announcement had not been taken well by the Congress and the JDU.
Bihar Diwas
Patna: Bihar state disaster management authority will set up a pavilion based on the "Safe Bihar: Disaster Free Bihar" theme at the Bihar Diwas event starting on Wednesday at Gandhi Maidan. The pavilion will consist of 27 different stalls based on various disasters - both natural and man-made.
Conference
Patna: HAMS will organise a workers conference on April 25 to mark the birth anniversary of Bhim Rao Ambedkar. The party would also organise a national conference at Delhi's Tal Katora Stadium in the first week of May, where it will also felicitate Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Investigation
Patna: The sleuths of the National Investigating Agency took Shivam Soni, a suspected terrorist, to his in-laws' house at Karor village in Begusarai district on Tuesday and inquired about his antecedents from local residents. Soni, a resident of Uttar Pradesh, was arrested last week for allegedly being involved in attempts to cause the derailment of trains in Bihar.
