Patna, Aug. 5: The Dental Council of India (DCI) has allowed the state's lone dental college - Patna Dental College - to admit students in its 40 seats for its bachelor of dental surgery course in the current session.

The DCI took the deci-sion after health minister Mangal Pandey had a communication with Union health minister J.P. Nadda on the matter.

It had earlier denied permission to the government dental college to take admission in its BDS course after a surprise check in April revealed various anomalies in the college, including lack of proper infrastructure and shortage of faculty members among others.
