Art miscellany
The tributaries of visual art are varied and so are its mediums. In spite of the diversity of theme and style of expression, each work of art essentially holds aloft a significant sign of its time, besides providing a window into the mind of its creator. Bringing together the works of 34 artists who create through different methods and in different mediums, Unity in Diversity, the ongoing exhibition of paintings, sculptures and photographs, features a motley collection of art in contemporary times, including works by eminent artists and upcoming talents alike. The works on show have been done in a wide range of mediums like watercolour, oil on canvas, acrylic, pen and ink, etching, collage, mixed media, stoneware and earthenware. Participating artists: B.R. Panesar, Nikhilesh Das, Gopal Sanyal, Harilal Sahu, Debabrata Chakrabarti (a painting by him appears here), Sanatan Dinda, Ranjan Sarkar and others.
