Kids movie bonanza
Cine Central, Nandan (West Bengal Film Centre), Eastern Zonal Cultural Centre, Government of India, and UNICEF host the ongoing 7th International Children’s Film Festival. Featuring a fascinating, entertaining bouquet of children’s films from all over the world, it provides the perfect holiday gift for youngsters this summer. To be screened today (at Nandan II): Mid Summer Dream (Spain; 2 pm), The Little Teacher (India; 4 pm) and The Chronicles of Narnia (USA, 6 pm; a scene from the film appears right), which tells the magical tale of four siblings who become involved in a quest to help Aslan, a lion and the rightful leader of the kingdom of Narnia. They also defeat the White Witch to bring peace. Also to be screened (at Purbashree, Salt Lake): Eric in the Land of Insects (The Netherlands; 2 pm), Baran (Iran; 4 pm) and Fimpen the Kid (Germany; 6 pm).
