Strategy meet for industrial progress
Land acquisition, environment protection, infrastructure development, mobilising skilled resources and aligning with community stakeholders are some of the main hurdles facing Greenfield projects in eastern and north-eastern regions of the country at present. These challenges and more will come up for threadbare discussion at The Green Field Challenge: The East in Focus, a two-day regional conference organised jointly by two apex bodies National HRD Network and National Institute of Personnel Management, in association with The Telegraph. The summit will also help chalk out strategies to promote an investor-friendly region. Among other eminent speakers from the industry, Dr Subesh Das (principal secretary to the chief minister of West Bengal) will speak on East as an Opportunity — Creative Inclusive Growth in New India, today. A five-member team from KPMG will present a research report titled A Perspective of Growth and Challenges — KPMG.
