If you want to raise a toast to the holiday spirit with melt-in-the-mouth kebabs, The Sojourn is where you should be headed. Flambe, the multi-cuisine restaurant and Qube, the lounge bar, in the Broadway hotel, is hosting Gala Kebabish from December 22 to January 6.

Kebabs are a strong presence in the restaurant’s menu card, with 11 non-vegetarian and six vegetarian varieties, being on offer round the year. “Our kebabs do well. We want to build on that,” says chef Gora Chand Halder. The festival offerings are distinct from the regular fare.

The non-vegetarian kebab platter has two pieces each of seven variants and is priced Rs 709. The vegetarian platter has two pieces each of eight variants and costs Rs 599. Two glasses of beer come free with every order.

Chef Halder recommends Sakhat Kebab Sandali, a mutton preparation. The meat is stuffed with cheese, coated with corn flour batter and deep fried. Lasooni Jhinga, a prawn kebab with a fresh garlic flavour, is also worth a try. Another speciality is the Peshawari Barrah Kebab.

Of the vegetarian varieties, the Angoori Paneer, stuffed with chutney and cream, and Bharwan Aloo Anjeera are the standout options. In the latter, a stuffing of green peas, nuts and cheese makes for a delicious combination with the potato.
