Chatterjee welcomed the initiative by Bhavna Records, pointing out that there has not been enough experimental work on Tagore songs in other languages. Sarkar pointed to the difficulties of matching French lyrics to the tunes' meter. Syed referred to Tagore's correspondence with Romain Rolland and Andre Gide's translation of some poems in Gitanjali, "a monument of world literature". Picture by Anup Bhattacharya
