Darjeeling, Dec. 17: Darjeeling MLA D.K. Pradhan today demanded an apology from health minister Surjya Kanta Mishra for the wrong usage of Nepali language in pulse polio posters.
Pradhan, speaking over phone from Calcutta, said: ?I had taken the poster with me and showed it to the Assembly, after drawing the minister?s attention to the mistakes. He is is expected to the respond to my question on December 22.?
The posters, which were printed in Calcutta, were used despite the district administration having decided against plastering them. Apart from the spelling mistakes, many non-Nepali words were also used in the poster, which is reportedly replete with ?wrong usage of the language?.
?I have told the minister that both the spelling and the grammar used is wrong. This is not the first time such a thing has happened. I demanded an explanation for such errors,? said Pradhan.
