Poura Bhavan, the administrative headquarters of Bidhannagar Municipality, is getting a new look. The building that had been white since it was built in 1995 is being painted blue and white, in accordance with chief minister Mamata Banerjee’s chosen colour code.

“This is being done following the government directive about maintaining uniformity of colour of government buildings. The building needed to be painted as part of its annual maintenance,” said civic chief Krishna Chakraborty.
