Gear up for auto weekend carnival

What: IndianOil SERVO presents The Telegraph Auto Weekend Carnival 2016, powered by Godrej aer.

When: October 21-23.

Where: Kund, City Centre, Salt Lake.

Who: IndianOil, Godrej aer, Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Tata Motors, Toyota, Ford, Renault, Hero.

Highlights: Maruti will showcase its latest hot hatch, the limited edition Swift Deca and the most popular compact SUV Vitara Brezza.

Competitor Hyundai will park its September launch, the new Elantra, billed as an elegant sedan.

Giving them close competition will be Tata Motors with its two new-age hatches, the Zest and the Tiago.

Japanese major Toyota will have its all-time bestseller, the new Innova Crysta and the new Platinum Etios.

American marque Ford will showcase Figo Aspire and EcoSport.

French major Renault will have their show-stopper Kwid and their compact SUV Duster.

The country's largest two-wheeler company, Hero MotoCorp will showcase its Maestro Edge and Duet.

IndianOil will showcase their SERVO lubricants.

Godrej aer will have its range of car perfumes.

Participating in a big way for the second time in a row, S. Dakwaler, executive director, CC & Branding, Indian Oil Corporation Limited, said: "IndianOil is privileged to be associated with the ABP Group in putting together this auto show for the second year during the festive season.

"This coincides with the auspicious sentiments of customers who tend to make key purchases like cars and bikes during this time. This event serves as a suitable platform for familiarising customers with the features of the vehicles they want to buy.

"This is also an opportunity for IndianOil to showcase its premium range of high-performance SERVO lubricants for cars and two-wheelers."

For Maruti, which is always a big draw at the carnival, "the fair is the best opportunity to show our products. Last year, we showcased our Ciaz and got a fantastic response", Kuntal Banerjee, regional manager, Maruti Suzuki India Ltd, said.

Held in the weekend before Dhanteras-Diwali, auto majors Tata Motors, Ford and Toyota are banking on real-time conversions from enquiries that such a carnival generates.

The footfall and customer quality are always good at The Telegraph Auto Weekend Carnival, Sushanta Sen, regional manager, Tata Motors, said. "It's the best place to showcase our new products."

Ashutosh Varma, zonal head, east, Hero Motocorp Ltd, said the carnival was a platform for shoppers to check out the latest scooter offerings from Hero Motocorp.
