The goddess of learning will arrive with full roster of fun, games and activities at 50 schools and 50 residential complexes participating in the Nutrela Kachhi Ghani Mustard Oil presents TTIS Saraswati Fiesta 2013.

“The kids are excited about the Know Your Mom contest that will try to find out which child knows his or her mother best,” said Sameer Sharma of Astor Green in Rajarhat.

Spot Quiz, Two Minutes to Fame and Style Icon are the events lined up for the schools. Most have arranged for a sumptuous lunch or khichuri bhog for students, staff and ex-students. “It’s fulfilling to see the students preparing for the puja. They are so excited,” said Aparna Roy, principal, Entally Hindu Balika Vidyamandir.

Many schools are planning theme puja this year, such as Go Green, Women Power and Tribute to Swami Vivekananda.

Residents of the complexes will also eat, pray and make merry this Friday. On the cards is Sharp Minds Sharp Family that tests coordination within a family. Nutrela Kachhi Ghani Mustard Oil “Sholoana Bangali Maa” is a healthy recipe cooking contest for mothers. Luxor Story Crafting Contest will see children writing on Saraswati Puja. Wizkids, an on-the-spot quiz for children, and Antakshari, a perennial favourite, are the other attractions.
