Samsung will host its next Galaxy Unpacked event, this time in Brooklyn, New York, on July 9. On the agenda will be the “next-generation Galaxy devices”.
In a teaser, the South Korean tech giant has said that the “next-generation Galaxy devices are being reimagined around a new AI-powered interface, supported by breakthrough hardware built to unlock their full potential”.
If rumours are true, Samsung may unpack its next set of foldable phones in Brooklyn in the form of Galaxy Z Fold7 and Galaxy Z Flip7.
Samsung has chosen Brooklyn because here “visionary thinking and bold ideas shape the future”. The last time the company had an event in New York was in 2019, when the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 was announced.
The company said in a statement: “As AI rapidly becomes the new user interface, it’s redefining our relationship with technology. No longer just a collection of apps and tools, the smartphone is evolving into a smart companion that understands user intent and responds in real time. This transformation moves us from reaction to anticipation — where, as AI becomes the UI, intent becomes instant.”
The invitation suggests a thinner device, and that lines up with rumours, as super-thin foldables have been a trend so far this year. The event will be streamed live on Samsung.com, Samsung Newsroom India, and Samsung India’s YouTube channel beginning at 7.30 pm IST.
