Samsung has enjoyed an edge in the foldable tech segment for some years and it looks like the lead is going to increase soon. The company hinted at a new foldable coming soon. It could be branded ‘Ultra’.

A statement from the company said: “Finish off that unsent work email during the ride, then use the powerful camera to commemorate your night out. AI-powered tools enable all-day messaging, browsing and gaming on the go, so you can focus on your life — all without weighing you down.”

The cryptic post from the company mentions bringing “an Ultra-experience” to “a smaller and more portable form factor”. The latest foldable devices from the South Korean company are Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6, so we can expect ‘Series 7’ soon.

The teaser from Samsung raises a few questions. Will the camera be as powerful as the one on Galaxy S25 Ultra? Will the new device be as skinny as Galaxy S25 Edge? Will the new foldable's cover display match the size of the S25 Ultra?

Samsung recently offered smartphone users something new in the form of Galaxy S25 Edge, which is only 5.8mm thick and weighs 163g. Even with a smaller battery size, the phone is able to tick along for a day. But foldable is a different game. The launch date for the new phones is yet to be announced.
