In a push to popularise its generative AI model in India, OpenAI has introduced a new subscription plan called ChatGPT Go. Priced at 399 per month, the plan will make “advanced AI tools” more accessible and affordable to users in India.

ChatGPT Go allows users access to ChatGPT’s most popular features, including “higher message limits, image generation, file uploads, and memory”, all powered by GPT-5, which features enhanced Indic language support.

Also, for the first time, all ChatGPT subscriptions can be paid through UPI, which is used across the country.

ChatGPT Go enjoys several advantages over OpenAI’s free plan: 10 times higher message limits with GPT-5, 10 times more image generations per day, 10 times more file or image uploads per day, and two times longer memory for more personalised responses.

ChatGPT Go will now be a part of the subscription tiers — ChatGPT Plus (1,999/month, inclusive of GST), which continues to offer priority access, faster performance, and higher usage limits for power users, and ChatGPT Pro (19,900/month, inclusive of GST).
