Writing in the air? You can do that with Meta Ray-Ban Display smart glasses. The company has rolled out new features, including bringing the ability to write messages just with hand gestures to all users. The feature can be used in WhatsApp, Messenger, Instagram, and with native Android and iOS messaging.

Further, walking directions are now available “throughout the entire US” and in “major international cities like London, Paris, Rome, and more”. Also, live captions will be available on WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, and with voice messages in Instagram DMs.

“These brand-new features round out the four major software updates we shipped since launch, all of which make the display glasses even more capable than the day they were first unboxed. We’ve added more glanceable widgets to the home screen, like Reminders, Weather, Stocks, and Calendar, enabled a faster way to get to your favourite Spotify playlists, and added Instagram Reels — all of which have become daily favourites. And Muse Spark, the first step toward personal superintelligence and the start of a new series of models purpose-built for our products, will arrive on Meta Ray-Ban Display glasses this summer,” Meta said in a statement.

Meta has also opened up the ability to make apps for the Meta Ray-Ban Display in developer preview, including allowing developers to deploy web apps to the glasses.
