Berlin was where the tech action was for the last few days as it hosted IFA 2025, Europe’s biggest consumer tech event. There was a lot to offer — from home innovations to smartphones to sports. Here are our favourites.
Acemate tennis robot
Acemate tennis robot uses AI to either be a tennis coach or a skilled opponent. In the base, there are two 4K binocular cameras connected to an AI chip that track where the ball is going on the court. Using the omnidirectional wheels, the Acemate can zip around and catch any ball coming its way in the net on the top. Players can track their own statistics on a connected smartphone. The app offers statistics on the ball and returns, including where on the court every ball lands.

We Are Rewind GB-001
The GB-001 is a cassette player and much more. It features four top-grade loudspeakers — two woofers for deep, extended bass and two soft dome tweeters for clear voices and refined treble — that deliver 104 Watts of total power. The system features dynamic power control to reduce distortion, an equaliser, and a spatialisation function to create a wider stereo image. It supports both Type I and Type II (chrome) cassettes with optimised biasing, and an active AC erasing head ensures low-noise recording.

TrackFlex Floodlight WiFi
AI is everywhere, so why not in security cameras? Reolink TrackFlex Floodlight WiFi is a dual-lens floodlight camera for monitoring outside your home. The hardwired camera combines 4K footage with floodlight deterrence and full 360-degree vision. It records in 4K with both wide and telephoto lenses, and pan-tilt controls give you full 360-degree coverage. There is 270-degree out-of-field motion detection, which enables it to automatically rotate to capture movement before a subject enters the camera’s frame. There is local AI search, which makes this an interesting device because it helps scan through data faster.

W4 AI Interpreter Earbuds
You will see more live translation features in the coming days as AI models get better. The W4 earbuds use bone conduction technology to produce and capture more precise sound, allowing them to offer accuracy in noisy environments. The bone conduction sensor improves sensitivity so you can talk quieter. It can translate 42 languages in 95 accents with 98 per cent accuracy and 0.2 seconds of audio latency.

Laptop with rotating screen
Trust Lenovo to come up with unique concepts. Last year, the company teased a concept laptop with a transparent screen. At CES, we saw a ThinkBook with a rollable OLED screen that expanded upward automatically at the touch of a button. ThinkBook VertiFlex is a laptop with a screen that can manually swivel from a standard horizontal orientation to vertical. The entire display rotates 90 degrees within its chassis, realigning itself for a better view of documents, coding, or doomscrolling.

Dreame Cyber X
Robots are coming for your house… to clean it. Robot vacuums have been around for a long time but they failed to climb stairs. The problem has been solved. Dreame’s new Cyber X has three main components: the robotic vacuum, the Bionic QuadTrack stair-climbing system, and the base station. The QuadTrack system is crucial for seamless floor transitions. The Cyber X vacuum docks onto the QuadTrack system when moving between floors — that is, the latter works as a mini elevator.

Dyson HushJet Purifier Compact
Another aviation-inspired air purifier. It is engineered to deliver whole-room purification with jet engine-inspired high-velocity airflow, ultra-quiet operation, and five times longer HEPA filter life. The increase in airflow velocity allows the HushJet Purifier Compact to provide “faster, more powerful purification,” according to Dyson.

Belkin Boostcharge Retractable Car Charger
It is particularly helpful during family car trips. The Retractable Car Charger turns your car’s adapter into a rapid charging hub for three devices at once. The 75cm USB-C cable stretches from the front seats to the rear passengers and is handy for when everyone’s charging leads are packed away in the trunk.

Smart Motion Concept laptop stand
A clever product, the multi-directional laptop stand concept from Lenovo uses three motors to move up, down, and side to side. The system integrates with a laptop’s camera, microphone, and speakers to deliver auto-facial tracking, voice control, and optimal ergonomics. There is also an AI ring to enable gesture control of the PC stand’s rotation. Having a laptop that can follow your eye movement helps during virtual classes or presentations.

Legion Go 2
The handheld gaming device has a Switch-like detachable wireless controllers, built-in kickstand, and hidden optical mouse. It packs AMD Ryzen Z2 Extreme processor, with up to AMD’s Zen 5 CPU (up to 8 cores/16 threads) and RDNA 3.5-based Radeon 890M graphics for 1200p gaming. With AMD HYPER-RX, enable one-click enhancements like FSR and AFMF for boosted FPS and visuals all in a handheld.
