The alleys at That Place Bowl & Bar on Shakespeare Sarani sparkled with vibrant energy, infectious laughter, and star power as the venue hosted the second edition of Bowling With The Stars, in association with t2 and partnered by t2ONLINE. This year’s edition saw the fabulous quartet of Bhavana Pandey, Neelam Kothari Soni , Maheep Kapoor, and Seema Sajdeh light up the bowling den, their friendship as radiant off-screen as it was on The Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives.
Maheep led Team MJ Ragers, backed by co-owners Siddhant Digvijay Jaitha and Anurag Mittal, while Neelam captained Team Neelam Fireball, co-owned by Nandita Daga and Tasneem Fakhri. Bhavana helmed Team Split Personalities, supported by co-owners Sailesh Lohia and Niwesh Sharma, and Seema captained Team La Soirée Legends, owned by Priyansh Agarwal.
Each team brought their A-game to the lanes, but it was Bhavana’s Team Split Personalities that bowled their way to victory, impressing with finesse, flair, and flawless teamwork. The champions not only took home the coveted title but also walked away with a grand cash prize and exclusive gift hampers.
“This wasn’t just another night out — it was a celebration of community, connection, and charisma. Each team brought incredible energy, and watching Team Split Personalities clinch the win made for the perfect finale. Bowling With The Stars 2.0 truly captured what we set out to do — create unforgettable moments where sport meets soul,” said Suman Chakraborty, general manager, That Place Bowl & Bar.
On the sidelines of the event, t2 sat down with all four for a hearty chat. Excerpts.
Seema Sajdeh What’s one fashion risk you took that totally paid off?
I wouldn’t call myself risky, but during one awards function, I slicked all my hair back for a wet look. I had no idea it would work for me… and it really did! I’d call that a fashion risk. With the whole outfit, the look felt more masculine than feminine — and it totally paid off.
If your wardrobe had its own Instagram account, what would its bio say?
It would have to be: live crazy, live free, and wear what makes you happy.
What’s the one thing about Delhi you still miss no matter how long you’ve been in Mumbai?
If I had to pick just one thing, it would be Delhi winters — and of course, the food!
What’s your guilty-pleasure binge when you’re home alone?
My guilty-pleasure binge would definitely be Netflix. It’s not just about one show — it’s like a full-on feast! I’d call it my Swiggy Day. I order from six different restaurants, stay in my pyjamas, remote in hand, and sit in front of the TV. Those are my absolute best nights.
If you had to design an outfit inspired by your sass level, what would it look like?
A sassy outfit designed by me would have to be elegant and feminine. I love a hint of that male-macho vibe, but the feminine side has to come through. So ripped jeans, a sharp shirt with a tie, a blazer, ankle boots — I think that combo just screams sass.
Neelam Kothari Soni What’s one piece of jewellery that instantly lifts your mood no matter what?
Being a jeweller, for me it can be any piece of jewellery — whether it’s a ring, bracelet, or necklace. It’s rightly said that diamonds are a girl’s best friend, and for me, it has to be real, authentic diamonds.
If your younger Bollywood self could give you a style tip today, what would it be?
Honestly, nothing at all. Back when I was doing movies, some of the outfit styles were quite different, but I was considered one of the fashionable actresses of my time. And even today, I wouldn’t give myself any style advice, I think I’m stylish in my own way. I loved how I did it back then, and I love how I do it now.
What’s the most unexpected place you’ve been recognised by a fan?
I think the most unexpected thing was being recognised in Istanbul! I was leaving the airport when a local girl came running up to me asking, “Are you Neelam?” I said yes, and asked how she knew me. She told me she had watched all the episodes of Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives, and then went on to watch all my films. I was so surprised — she was young, Turkish, and honestly made my day!
What’s your ultimate travel destination?
Definitely somewhere in Europe — London is an all-time favourite. I know all the restaurants, the shopping spots... and my daughter absolutely loves Hyde Park.
Maheep Kapoor What’s your ultimate go-to glam trick when you’re running late?
There is no trick, I just go even later! For me, it is important to look amazing, and most importantly, carry my confidence. If you’re not confident, you’re not going to enjoy the evening or own it. I’d rather be late than not feel fabulous.
Which piece of jewellery in your collection holds the most sentimental value?
I’m extremely sensitive and emotional about certain pieces, especially my grandmother’s jewellery. Her mother wore it, then my mother wore it, and I wore it on my wedding day. These are stunning, timeless pieces that you just can’t find any more. I don’t wear them now, they stay in my locker untouched.
Favourite memory of Calcutta...
It has to be visiting the Kalighat Temple. Every time I’m in Calcutta, I feel an energy and strength I can’t quite explain — there’s a certain power about that place, and it always draws me in. And of course, the food! The mustard fish — oh my God, I could go on and on. When I come to Calcutta, I truly eat the best food.
Bhavana Pandey Favourite holiday destinations...
I love New York, Paris, Italy (especially Milan, the coast, and the countryside), Spain (particularly the coastal areas), and the Maldives.
What’s one fashion trend you secretly love but haven’t tried yet?
I’ve tried everything I’ve loved!
Would you say you’re more of a chill parent or a strict one?
It really depends, Chunky and I take turns playing good cop and bad cop depending on the situation.
How has your personal style evolved over the years?
I think I now lean more towards comfort rather than just chasing fashion trends.
What’s your guilty pleasure when you get some me-time?
My guilty pleasure is watching TV or enjoying wine and pizza with friends or family.
If you could swap lives with any character from a film for a day, who would it be and why?
I would love to be in Downton Abbey — the elegance, the era, the drama... it’s all just so fascinating!
Five must-haves in your bag...
My phone, lip balm, wallet, hand sanitiser, and something sweet or a piece of candy.
Which one of your daughters is most likely to raid your wardrobe, and actually pull it off?
I’d say both Ananya and Rysa definitely dig into my wardrobe and they pull it off really well! Ananya also loves raiding Chunky’s wardrobe for his funky shirts.
Favourite memory of Calcutta...
I absolutely love visiting Calcutta. Every time I’ve been, I’ve felt the warmth, the hospitality, and enjoyed the amazing Bengali food and desserts. I also make it a point to visit the Kali temple, it’s always a highlight of my trip.
