The Union health ministry has issued a detailed advisory on how to treat passengers flying in from other countries. The Telegraph gives the low-down:

High-risk passengers

Who are they: Anyone with fever, cough, shortness of breath and a history of travel to or lives in a country or area or territory, which has been hit by the coronavirus at least 14 days before the onset of symptoms.

Also, anyone with acute respiratory illness or has been in contact with a someone suffering from the coronavirus in the past 14 days before the onset of symptoms.

Place of origin: Anywhere

Action to be taken: Such passengers will be segregated from others and sent to isolation hospitals.

Moderate-risk

Who are they: An asymptomatic passenger, aged 60 or above, with hypertension, diabetes and asthma.

Place of origin: China, South Korea, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, or Iran

Action to be taken: The government will get them shifted to a dedicated quarantine facility and the state health department will monitor their health daily for the next 14 days. If anyone develops any symptoms of the virus during this period, he/she will be isolated.

Low-risk

Who are they: Any passenger with no apparent symptoms of the coronavirus, aged below 60 and without hypertension, diabetes and asthma.

Place of origin: A passenger flying in from China, South Korea, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, or Iran.

Action to be taken: Such passengers will be quarantined at home for 14 days. If they show any symptoms of the coronavirus (fever, cough and shortness of breath) during this period, they have to alert the authorities immediately and seek help.
