Ranchi hotels are ready with a memorably tasty 68th Independence Day on August 15, replete with designed theme menus, ambience and décor.
Patriotism platter for buffet lunch at Hotel Capitol Hill includes delicacies such as Azad Hind biryani, Hindustani paneer, dal Bhagat Singh ki pasand, Rajputana lachha, Shivaji kheer, Netaji misti and more. “Independence Day at our restaurant Yellow Sapphire has a theme menu, Tricolour décor and patriotic songs,” food and beverage (F&B) manager Satish Chandra Mishra said.
“All lunch buffet dishes are specially named,” Mishra said, adding the spread, available between 12.30pm and 4pm, would come for Rs 400 plus taxes.
Hotel Arya’s restaurant Sheila will also have Tricolour inspired décor and a live band playing patriotic numbers. “We are offering 15 per cent discount on dishes for I-Day, plus attractive combo offers,” said the hotel’s general manager Sanjay Tiwary.
Lemon ‘n’ Ice Food Court at Spring City Mall in Hinoo will also host its south Indian food festival from I-Day to August 31.
A few hotels skipping the I-Day platter are launching festivals to take advantage of the coming weekend. Hotel Capitol Residency and Holiday Home are hosting The Art of Cocktail Couture and Punjabi Food Festival, respectively, from August 16 till month-end.
The Art of Cocktail Couture (11am-11pm) will feature exotic sips, including Jamaican fruit, Havana Beach and Dark Night. Holiday Home buffet dinner will be on from 7pm to 11pm at Rs 599.
