Jamshedpur, March 16: After wooing youngistaan in other parts of India, the BJP’s Advani@Campus campaign is ready to hit state colleges here.
Ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, the campaign aims to initiate a dialogue between the party and members of the young generation who would be voting this season.
Anand Sahu, who is in charge of the campaign in Jharkhand, visited the steel city today.
The party, he told supporters, would adopt various measures for reaching out to the young generation in Jharkhand.
“We are trying to mobilise our student wing to spread Advani’s message among the state’s young generation. Presently, I am holding a meeting with our young brigade at the district headquarters to chart out the future course of action,” said Sahu.
According to him, the feedback collected from the campaign would be sent to senior BJP leader and the party’s prime ministerial candidate L.K. Advani.
“The thoughts of our young generation on various subjects are important for the party as they hold the key to the development of the nation. Moreover, the campaign would help spread the message of how the party’s prime ministerial candidate is aiming to develop the nation if the party is voted to power,” added Sahu.
He pointed out that Advani, during his rally in the city earlier, had pledged to use the Internet and the latest technological inventions to bring about various changes in the country.
The party leaders claimed that the campaign would help in providing a sense of security to the students.
They maintained that the young generation has been left in the lurch due to large-scale unemployment in the country and the ongoing recession in the country.
“Through this campaign, students here would come to know that the party cares about their futures and would ensure employment generation if it comes to power. An online interactive campaign would definitely bring the young generation closer to the BJP,” added Sahu.
Presently, Sahu is moving to various constituencies and giving a boost to the campaign.
According to him, they would request the young generation to log on to the official website of the party’s prime ministerial candidate and voice their views on various issues.
