Calcutta: A little over three years ago, stunning stories about Tiger Woods’ philandering ways came out of the closet.
It led to his divorce and an unravelling of his personal and professional life.
Now comes another blockbuster story about Tiger’s personal life.
According to The National Enquirer, the world No. 2, who is now busy playing the Abu Dhabi Championship, wants to remarry his ex-wife, Elin Nordegren, and that he is offering a $200 million prenuptial agreement to get her back. Sources say that Tiger even proposed to her over Christmas.
Elin is said to be considering the proposal from Tiger, but she reportedly wants a $350 million anti-cheating clause added to the contract. The proposed deal reportedly is worth over half of Tiger’s estimated $600 million fortune.
The tabloid quotes a source who says Tiger is desperate to get Elin back.
“Tiger didn’t even balk at the demand. Even though his accountants think he’s crazy, he’s ready to sign the pre-nuptial and set a wedding date.
“The guy has never recovered from being dumped by Elin. He’s dated lots of women, but none of them were more than a one-night stand.”
The magazine reportedly claims that Tiger got down on one knee and presented Elin with a ring over Christmas. They also say that the two have even begun having a sexual relationship again.
“Tiger stopped by Elin’s rental house one afternoon when their kids were out with a nanny and they had sex for the first time since the split,” a source reportedly told the Enquirer.
Tiger and Elin met in 2001. They were introduced by Swedish golfer Jesper Parnevik, for whom Elin was a nanny. The couple became engaged in November 2003, and married in October 2004. They had two children, but the marriage went awry after an allegedly enraged Elin attacked Tiger after discovering he had been cheating on her with multiple women. After learning of such news at Thanksgiving in November 2009, she allegedly attacked Woods, who crashed his car into a tree.
They were divorced in 2010.
Since the divorce, Elin dated billionaire Jamie Dingman, and she reportedly dated NHL player Douglas Murray. The two have been living apart since 2010, with Elin working to rebuild her mansion in Palm Beach, Florida.
