New Delhi: PV Sindhu got her mobile phone back from coach Pullela Gopichand in Rio de Janeiro after the Olympics final.

The Olympic silver medallist shuttler, however, says the phone would surely be back with the coach once she returns to the court in Hyderabad early next month.

"For three months, I did not have my mobile phone with me. Gopi sir asked me to concentrate on training and practice sessions. I listened to him and did whatever he told me to do. Once the final match was over against Carolina Marin in Rio, the coach gave me back the mobile after returning to the Games Village," said Sindhu in the capital on Monday evening.

"Now, we are celebrating and the coach asked me to enjoy the moment. He said I can resume training on September 15 but I am planning to return to the court before that. I am sure my mobile would once again be confiscated. Gopi sir does not want any distraction when I get into the training mode," said Sindhu with a laugh.

The women's singles star did not specify which tournament she would be participating next but said she would surely enter a tournament in September.

Intense and dedicated training brought unprecedented success to the 21-year-girl from Hyderabad in the women's singles in the Olympics.

Seeded 10 in the draw, she registered a series of upset wins over higher ranked Chinese and Japanese players to become the first Indian to reach the title round. In the final, against world No. 1 Marin, the Indian won the first game but lost the next two to settle for the silver medal.
