Barcelona: Lionel Messi’s former tax advisors came out in his support on Wednesday as his trial for alleged fraud continued in Barcelona, saying he never handled his wealth management. “He didn’t take any decision and I didn’t see anyone consulting him for anything,” said Angel Juarez, one of the partners at law firm Juarez Veciana, which used to manage Messi’s tax affairs.

Kuala Lumpur: The men’s Asian Champions Trophy will make a return to the international calender after two years and the fourth edition of the tournament will be held in Kuantan, Malaysia, from October 20 to 30, the Asian Hockey Federation (AHF) announced on Wednesday. Introduced in 2011, the Asian Champions Trophy was last held in 2013.

Colombo: Sri Lankan seamer Nuwan Kulasekara announced his retirement from Test cricket on Wednesday, but said he would continue to be available for limited-overs matches. “I hope it will allow me to better prepare for ODI and T20 cricket,” he said.
