Rajdeep & Srijit in lead

Two players, top seed FM Rajdeep Sarkar and IM norm holder Srijit Paul, shared the lead with six points each at the end of the sixth round of the 26th Telegraph Schools' Chess Championship at Alekhine Chess Club, Gorky Sadan on Tuesday.

Calcutta: Two players, top seed FM Rajdeep Sarkar and IM norm holder Srijit Paul, shared the lead with six points each at the end of the sixth round of the 26th Telegraph Schools' Chess Championship at Alekhine Chess Club, Gorky Sadan on Tuesday.

The leaders defeated their respective opponents on the day. Close on the heels of the leaders are Fide Masters Mitraba Guha, Mohammed Fahad and Neelash Shah with 5.5 points each.

Rajdeep opened up the game to build a strong citadel with Reti opening.
