Calcutta: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Monday called up Dola Banerjee to congratulate the archer for her gold-winning performance in the World Cup final.

The state government is also planning to felicitate Dola. Sports minister Subhas Chakraborty on Monday called up an Archery Association of India official to check when the programme could be organised.

Dola won the recurve title, defeating second-seeded South Korean Choi Eun Young in Dubai on Saturday.
