Mysore, Aug. 11 :    Mysore, Aug. 11:  The 20-day regular Mysore race meet kicks off on August 17. Nearly 800 horses under 49 trainers will vie for stakes totalling Rs 1.70 crore. The recent rains have rendered the track condition good. Grabbing a huge chunk of the above stakes, Rs 29 lakhs are for the three-year-olds contending for the three classics, the 1000 Guineas, sponsored by the Karnataka Racehorse Owners Association, the 2000 Guineas, the Kingfisher Derby, sponsored by the UB Group, the Nanoli Stud Million and the Hindu Gold Trophy.
