Calcutta: Deep Munim will be vying for a double crown in the Sunfeast AITA Super Series Junior tennis tournament. 

Deep will meet Arjun Gohad in the under-14 boys’ singles final. In the semi-finals on Thursday at South Club, he beat Anmay Yogesh Devaraj 6-4, 3-6, 6-2.

In the under-16 final, Deep will meet Dhanya Shah after defeating Kritanta Sarma 2-6, 6-0, 6-3 in the semis.

In the girls’ section, second seed Sanya Singh beat third seed Renee Singh 6-4, 6-2 in the under-16 category to make the final. She will take on Mubashira Anjum Shaik in the decider.

In under-16 girls’ doubles, Sanya and her sister Pari beat Paavanii Pathak and Bhumi Shekhar 6-2, 6-2. 

In the under-14 girls’ singles final, Renee will be up against Karthika Vijay. In the semis, Renee beat Harshita P. Bangera 7-6 (2), 6-3, while Karthika got the better of Harsshali N. Mandavkar 6-1, 6-1.
